Agatha Graney, the Lt. Governor for Zone 3 of Optimist International visited with our Pt. Loma Club this morning. She presented Bob Bradbury with his pin for bringing in new members. She spoke of the upcoming Oratorical Contests and Junior Golf Tournament. And, informed us of a new club being formed in Santee and two other clubs being formed in South Bay and East Palomar. Alan Ziter, the Executive Director of the NTC Foundation and his associate, Andrew Waltz, visited with the Club this morning to share an update on the Arts District at Liberty Station and other news from the Foundation. Alan stated with the Foundation in January of 2004. His responsibilities include the restoration of 26 historic buildings and opening them as a new Civic, Arts Cultural District. He has overseen the completion of 16 buildings at a cost of more than $82 million.
