Dear Optimist members and friends of the Del Mar /Solana Beach Optimist Club,
We are excited to invite you to celebrate our 25th Annual Youth Fund Golf Tournament dedicated to Dave Eller.
For the past 25 years, Dave was the chairman of this tournament. Dave passed away last year. And due to Covid, we canceled our tournament. LET’S MAKE THIS TOURNAMENT SPECIAL AND SUCCESSFUL IN DAVE’S HONOR!
There is nothing like going out and golfing with your friends while helping the youth of San Diego County. The Golf Tournament is our only fundraiser of the year to support our youth, and we usually raise the needed funds to meet our needs for the year.
This year the schedule is as follows:
Date: Friday, October 8, 2021, at the Lomas Santa Fe Executive Golf Course
1560 Sun Valley Road
Solana Beach, Ca. 92075
12:30-1:00pm Check-in
1:00 pm Bar-B-Que at Pool Side
2:00 pm Shotgun Start (Four Person Scramble Format), Mulligans, Long Drive,
and Closest to the Pin Contests, 10 raffle tickets included
5:30-6:30pm Reception, Snacks, Sandwiches, No Host Bar, Golf Awards, Grand Prize
Drawing, Silent Auction Final Bids, and Close.
Cost: $100.00 Per Player Entry Fee. (Golf Cart not included). ($20.00 worth of Raffle Tickets included)
Please join us in our campaign to raise needed funds to support the many service projects throughout the year. Come and play golf, enjoy great food, participate in our Silent Auction, and support our youth through organizations such as: Childhood Cancer Campaign, Christmas Charities, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, CCA Dollars For Scholars, Local Essay and Oratorical Contests, Miracle League, of San Diego, Rady Children’s Hospital, The Ronald McDonald House, Torrey Pines HS Scholarship Fund, Vic Kops, Children’s Challenge Awards, and the Winston School.
