
Hello Bonita Optimists!! We are having our Optimist Club meeting this coming Thursday morning at 7:00 am.
We will meet and greet each other with a smile, hand shake, and lots of funny stories and upcoming events! We are a very busy club! 😉
Ruth will be running back & forth getting our delicious breakfast buffet ready!
In addition, we have a guest speaker, Rachael Morales from the Center for Sustainable Energy. Rachael is the Outreach Coordinator for the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project. This should be a very interesting topic. Thank you Dan Vacarro for providing us with another great speaker!
PROVENCE HOUSE CLEANUP: Ric Rice needs our assistance in cleaning the Provence House on Friday February 28th at 3:00 PM. Windows, floors, kitchen appliances, bathrooms, window sills, tables & chairs all need some maintenance. Wear your “grubbies”!! Lots of time before Dance for a Cure!!
DANCE FOR A CURE: The Bonita Vista High School Junior Optimist Club presents the 13th Annual Dance for a Cure! This coming Friday & Saturday night, February 28th & 29th at Eastlake High School in the Ruth Chapman Theater. 1120 Eastlake Parkway, Chula Vista 91915. The event is from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Elaine Lucca could use your help!!
BABY SHOWER AT PROVENCE HOUSE: Saturday, February 29th, need a couple more slots filled. From 4:00 to 6:00, 6:00 to 8:00 and closing from 8:00 to 9:00.
BOOK SALE TIME: After next Thursday morning’s breakfast meeting, March 5th, we will be moving books from the Provence House to the Bonita Museum. (8:00 am to10:30 am). Book sorting and organizing will start immediately after. Ann Stevens has a signup sheet for those of you who can help!
ORATORICAL CONTEST: March 5th, 6:00 PM at the Provence House. Please attend and bring a dessert!! Joe Puglia has a signup sheet going around!! Sign up Thursday morning at our breakfast meeting to bring some sort of dessert or you can always donate a few bucks!!
WINE & CHEESE BOOK SALE: Friday night, March 6th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM we will be selling a lot of books, drinking wine, munching on yummy cheese & crackers, seeing “old” friends and telling stories. This is a great event, but doesn’t happen without your help!! Sorting and organizing books starts Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. We need YOU!
