Optimists
Yes, it is that time to get your registration in for our Sept 7-9 CALSO Convention!! Your Officer Elects should especially be there as this is where they learn what Gov Diana expects for her year! Speaking of officer elects, your club members are all potential officers! This convention helps everyone grow and bond – please consider making it a part of you clubs budget.
Let your members know that our OI rep this year is one of OI’s best trainers and past Vice President– Paula Reyling. She is dynamite and will make our convention fun and informative.
We begin the fun on Friday night out by the pool for our yummy BBQ dinner. We hope you plan to attend even if you aren’t staying at the hotel as this is a great dinner.
We do need you club President or appointed President to attend the Executive meeting on Sat morning to vote on our policy changes. A part of our opening ceremonies is the Parade of Banners. We need you to bring them and plan to walk it down the aisle. Did you take a banner holder back last year? Let me know if you did as we need them for this parade!
Clubs we need you to bring you banner, scrapbooks, bulletins (no judging on them) and anything you want to display for the House of Optimism. Each club should bring 5 $10 value gifts for our door prizes that are given out at our meetings.
Gov Lynn is making a video of any deceased club members or immediate family members for our Sunday memorial. Please include a short bio and a photo if possible and email or snail mail to Gov Lynn Reiter-Woodhead.
This was sent to all that attended last years convention. Feel free to forward to anyone you think would benefit by attending or that plans to attend and didn’t come to Anaheim.
See you in September,
Linda
