What a wonderful turnout that we had this morning at our Potluck Breakfast!! How very blessed we are that we have each other and are able to come together for the common goal to help kids!!
Grace walked out of here with the best white elephant gift exchange (in my opinion) which was a razor and a can of pinto beans!! (Val, great idea!!)
Ginny was able to share some great news with us…..Stand Up for Kids is up and running again. We will be sharing the new address with everyone when it becomes available. In the meantime, please take a look at the dates that we will need someone to help with dinner. Let us know when you can help. (Remember, our budget is $140 per month.)
Some of our past and present members have been having some health issues so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers!!
Please remember to use smile.amazon.com for any purchases that you make on Amazon!! Our club receives a portion of the purchases.
**It is my intention to thank ALL of our volunteers in our newsletters. Please let me know if I have missed anyone.**
Lastly, our Facebook site contains images of recent events and announcements. We appreciate it if you “LIKE” what you see. Thanks for visiting the site, and sharing the optimism with others!
Stand Up for Kids is back up and running!! Same dates, different location!! Our monthly budget is $140 to provide dinner. All we do is purchase dinner, drop it off in Oceanside, and leave. In the past, they have asked us to leave within a few minutes and NOT stick around. (Receipts are turned into Kevin for reimbursement.) Please take a look at the dates below and let me know when you can help out.
We are always looking for new members!! If you know of anyone that would make a great addition to our club, please invite them to a meeting! Give me a call and I would be happy to personally invite them as well!
Shopping is easy with smile.amazon.com!! Amazon donates to Optimist Club of Carlsbad Foundation. **Every little bit helps!!**

Let nothing affect your Optimism and the state of your positivism.
The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.
